Top of the Giant, Sleeping Giant Provincial Park

November 7 @ 8:00 am - 7:00 pm EST

We will tackle this iconic hike in the low season. Getting to the Giant and back includes 14 km (7/7) of wider, easy hiking trails. We will pass Tee Harbour (stopping on the way back to enjoy the rocky outcrop) and arrive at the Talus Lake Junction. Climbing the Giant includes a challenging switchback trail with 900 feet of elevation gain. But the hard work brings an impressive view of Lake Superior and Thunder Bay on clear days. We will eat lunch at the Chimney on the Giant. Wear sturdy footwear and bring plenty of food/water.  Additional Fees:  Park Pass Permit (day use) approx. $21. This hike will be limited to 12 participants.

Level of Difficulty: Very Difficult
Hiking Distance: 23 km / 7 hrs.
Travel Time/Travel Distance: 150 km / 2 .5 hrs.
Suggested Gas Contribution: $15
