SUMMARY:Brunner Trail & Hurkett Cove\, Dorion
DESCRIPTION:This 2.7 km loop takes you through a Boreal Forest to the top of a hill for views of Lake Superior where we will stop for lunch. We will start walking down an old road\, which leads to a steep climb of approximately 270 feet in elevation\, which may be challenging for novice hikers. Bring a lunch and plenty of fluids. After the Brunner trail we will drive for ice cream/snack and hike a short trail at the Hurkett Cove. Dorion. Don’t forget to bring your LRCA Explorer Card Parking Pass or pay $5.00 at the kiosk for parking. DESCRIPTION:From the Thunder Bay Lookout\, we will hike down a long steep hill to a flat section of land\, and then make our way to Claver Bay\, overlooking Lake Superior and the Sleeping Giant. Trail is very slippery when wet with some boggy sections. We recommend gloves and boots with a good grip for crossing boulders and loose rock.
