DESCRIPTION:We will carpool to Lappe Nordic Ski Centre (3160 Kam-Current Rd).  Enjoy a  relaxing snowshoe on groomed trails.  Some hills\, but beautiful trails a most spruce\, cedar and ski trails. (no dogs please) Dress appropriately and bring your own snowshoes.  Lappe Nordic does not rent snowshoes. You can enjoy a sauna and shower for a $2.00 fee. This snowshoe is limited to 12 people.\n\nLevel of Difficulty: Intermediate\nHiking Distance/Hiking Time:  4 km / 2 hrs. 30 min.\nTravel Distance/Travel Time: 30 km./ 1 hr.

This moderate climb provides panoramic vistas of the town of Red Rock\, Nipigon and Black Bay. We will hike part of the Nipigon-Red Rock Trail to Lloyd’s Lookout. Bring crampons and possibly snowshoes as well as lunch and fluids. SUMMARY:CANCELLED: Ridge Trail & Dog Falls Hike or Snowshoe
DESCRIPTION:This hike is CANCELLED\nThe outing starts and ends from the parking lot at the gate before the Hydro Generating Station at the start of the Silver Falls hiking trail.  We’ll follow the Silver Falls hiking trail to Dog Falls and then continue along the river to the north end.  The trail then ascends out of the valley at which point we will return along the ridge trail overlooking the Dog River before descending along the Portage Trail back to the vehicles.  Total elevation difference to be hiked is about 500 metres.  This hike will be limited to 12 participants.\nLevel of Difficulty: Difficult\n\n\nHiking Distance/Hiking Time: 10 km /5 hr\nTravel Distance/Travel Time: 100 km / 1 ½ hr\nSuggested Gas Contribution: $7

SUMMARY:Middlebrun Bay\, Sleeping Giant Park
DESCRIPTION:We will hike to Middlebrun Bay on Lake Superior\, near Silver Islet.. This is an easy hike with flat sections. This distance of 4.6 km ranks as an easy hike. We will have lunch at Middlebrun Bay Beach. This hike will be relaxed pace to accommodate slow hikers\, with opportunities for Naturalist interpretation.  This hike will be limited to 20 participants. There is a fee of approximately $16 for Ontario daily vehicle Park Permit or Ontario Park Pass (or alternatively one can be borrowed from the Library).\n\nLevel of Difficulty: Easy\nHiking Distance/Hiking Time: 4.6 km / 4 hrs.\nTravel Distance/Travel Time: 160 km / 2 hrs.\nSuggested Gas Contribution: $11
