SUMMARY:Ridge Trail and Dog Falls Hike
DESCRIPTION:The outing starts and ends from the parking lot at the gate before the Hydro Generating Station at the start of the Silver Falls hiking trail. We’ll follow the Silver Falls hiking trail to Dog Falls and then continue along the river to the north end. The trail then ascends out of the valley at which point we will return along the ridge trail overlooking the Dog River before descending along the Portage Trail back to the vehicles. Total elevation difference to be hiked is about 500 metres. SUMMARY:The Head of the Sleeping Giant Hike
DESCRIPTION:Leaving from the North Meeting Site\, we will drive to the South Kabeyun Trail Parking Lot. From there we will hike the trail to Sawyer Bay and continue to the side trail to the Head.  Hiking distance is about 18 km with a 600-meter elevation difference.  Bring poles\, sturdy footwear\, lunch\, snacks and plenty of fluids.  This hike will be limited to 15 participants. \nThere is a fee of approximately $21.00 for Ontario daily Vehicle Park Permit or 2025 Ontario Park Pass.
